From O Castro (Dozón) to Silleda is 28 km along the Vía de la Plata. It's stage 35, with 433 m of ascent and 684 m of descent, completed in about 7h. Difficulty: Moderate.
Toward the confluence with the Camino de Invierno
The stage is characterized by numerous places and parishes, with no technical difficulties and continuous but moderate elevation changes. Santo Domingo (Dozón), Puxallos, A Xesta, Botos, Donsión and Lalín are some of the settlements along the first stretch of the route.
At A Laxe (Bendoiro), the Vía de la Plata meets the Camino de Invierno, another Jacobean route that reaches Santiago. There's the option to shorten the route using the municipal albergue at A Laxe if you prefer a shorter day.
After A Laxe, the path continues through Bendoiro de Abaixo, Prado, A Ponte Taboada, Covas, Carral and Trasfontao to reach Silleda, the destination, which offers multiple accommodation options for pilgrims.
